Gabe Killian’s Parlay for UFC Fight Night 51

Godofredo PepeyUFC Fight Night 51 Date: September 13, 2014 Arena: Nilson Nelson Gymnasium City: Brasilia, Brazil UFC Fight Night 51 will be live this Saturday (September 13th) night from the Nilson Nelson Gymnasium in Brasilia, Brazil. The event will produce an 11-fight card, including a six fight main card that will be streaming live on UFC Fight Pass at 8pm ET, with a preliminary card preceding it at 5:45pm ET, also on UFC Fight Pass. If interested in making this parlay, or any wagers for this fight card, you will be able to do so at Several Bookmakerss. Here is my parlay for UFC Fight Night 51: Featherweight bout: Dashon Johnson (+130) vs Godofredo Pepey (-150) Gabe’s Thoughts: Pepey has a massive edge in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu over Johnson and I believe that will be the difference in this 145-pound scrap. This is a strange winner vs loser match-up, as Pepey is coming off a brutal first round knockout win over Noad Lahat at UFC Fight Night 38 nearly six months ago, and Johnson is coming off a submission loss to Jake Matthews at UFC Fight Night 43 just a couple of months ago, a fight in which he was completely dominated by the Australian. I don’t think either of these featherweights are UFC-caliber, but I believe the Brazilian is the superior fighter of the two. The only concern with him is his very poor chin, so I think he will be good for a win, as long as he does not get clipped. I feel as soon as this fight hits the mat, it will be in his world, and only a matter of time until he locks up a submission to earn the tapout victory. I think it’s going to be another impressive outing for Pepey, and I am expecting another first round finish. This bout will be headlining the UFC Fight Night 51 preliminary card on UFC Fight Pass and I think it’s a solid match-up to end the prelims on a high note, as again, I am expecting Pepey to score an exciting finish, and to score it early. Gabe’s Call: Pepey by Submission (triangle choke, 0:57 round 1) Welterweight bout: Paulo Thiago (+150) vs Sean Spencer (-185) Gabe’s Thoughts: I think Thiago is done and should be hanging up the gloves. I feel that will be the case after Spencer defeats him this Saturday night in Thiago’s home country of Brazil. At this point in their careers, I believe Spencer is the superior mixed martial artist and the rightful favorite heading into this match-up, even considering the fact that it is on hostile territory. I think Spencer is going to prove to be too much for Thiago on the feet and will most likely stop him with strikes at some point in the fight, though if it hits the judges’ scorecards, I see him having done enough in the judges’ eyes to pick up a unanimous decision victory as well. I think this is going to be a “coming out party” type of fight for Spencer, as he looks to make noise in the UFC’s 170-pound division. Gabe’s Call: Spencer by T/KO (punches, 2:34 round 2) Gabe’s Recommended Parlay: Pepey (-150) parlayed with Spencer (-185) for +156 4.85u to win 7.6u
