UFC 177’s Anthony Hamilton: ‘I don’t think Ruan Potts is world class’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC 177 heavyweight Anthony Hamilton as he prepares for his upcoming preliminary card bout against Ruan Potts this Saturday (August 3o, 2014) at the Sleep Train Arena in Sacramento, California.

The former MFC Heavyweight Champion understands he was finished pretty quickly in his UFC debut, but he feels he’s taking on a significantly less dangerous threat this time around in his sophomore appearance:

“I think he’s more of a submission guy. He’s got four KOs and four submissions out of the eight wins he has, but I definitely think his game is more submission based. Looking at my record, I have two submission losses and one KO, so definitely I would think he wants to take me down and get me to the ground and try to work for a submission. I don’t think the submissions are an issue. The guys I fought who caught me in a submission are world class at what they do. I don’t think Ruan Potts is world class at submissions. I think the fight is definitely gonna be a good match-up for me.”
