Gabe Killian’s Main Card Parlay for UFC Fight Night 49

Mike PyleUFC Fight Night 49 Date: August 23, 2014 Arena: BOK Center City: Tulsa, Oklahoma UFC Fight Night 49 will be live from Tulsa, Oklahoma this Saturday night for the first time in a decade. The six-fight main card will be live on FOX Sports 1 at 10pm, with a preliminary card to precede it at 8pm ET on FOX Sports 2. If interested in making this parlay, or wagering on any fights or props for this fight card, you may do so at Several Bookmakerss. Here is my main card parlay for UFC Fight Night 49… Welterweight bout: Jordan Mein (-220) vs Mike Pyle (+180) Gabe’s Thoughts: Mein definitely has youth on his side going into this 170-pound scrap, and he is not inexperienced either, as he has more professional fights under his belt than many 15-year veterans. This will be a tough test for Mein, but I think it is one he has a good chance of passing. Pyle will again be playing the role of “gatekeeper” in this match-up, so should Mein get past him, he will likely get a big fight his next time out. For Pyle, a win over a rising hot-shot prospect in the division would be huge and would also earn him a big fight in his next outing. I think this is a fight that matters in UFC’s welterweight division and it is one I am very much looking forward to seeing. When it’s all said and done, I think Mein’s youth and superior chin are going to prove to be the difference in this match-up. I think there is a good chance he will earn a stoppage over Pyle, but if not, I do favor him to pick up the decision when the fight hits the judges’ scorecards. Gabe’s Call: Mein by TKO (strikes, 4:48 round 2) Featherweight bout: Chas Skelly (+120) vs Tom Niinimaki (-140) Gabe’s Thoughts: I think this is going to be a closely contested, grappling-heavy match-up that goes all 15 minutes of action for a judge’s decision. I don’t see value in either fighter for a straight play, though I do slightly lean with Skelly for my pick because of the size advantage he will have over the Fin heading into his second UFC bout. At the current betting line of -215, I do like the over 2.5 rounds for the second leg in my two-way parlay for this fight card. Gabe’s Call: Skelly by Split Decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) Gabe’s Recommended Parlay: Mein (-220) parlayed with Skelly/Niinimaki over 2.5 rounds (-215) for +131 1.95u to win 2.2u
