MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC Fight Night 47 light heavyweight Ryan Bader as he prepares for his upcoming headlining bout against Ovince St. Preux next Saturday (August 16, 2014) at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine.
The former Ultimate Fighter winner feels he’s truly hitting his stride, and this bout against St. Preux could be a showcase of his significantly improving skills:
“I come in confident. I just feel I’m better in every aspect. I’m a little sharper in the stand-up area. I hit harder. My wrestling/jiu-jitsu is better and I have the ability to take him down if it’s not going my way on the feet or keep it up and mix it up like I’ve been doing in my last couple fights. He does hit hard, he kicks hard and he’s pretty wild so that’s always a concern becauase people dont’ react right and they throw a punch out of nowhere and you get caught with it. I just have to be smart out there.”
