UFC Fight Night 45 Closing Odds & Results

John Lineker UFC Fight Night 45 took place tonight live from Revel Casino Resort in Atlantic City, NJ, and the card overall was terrific as it featured a number of terrific fights and a number of sick finishes. UFC Fight Night 45 Favorites That Won In the main event of the evening, Donald Cerrone defeated Jim Miller via second-round TKO (head kick and punches). Cerrone landed a number of brutal kicks to Miller’s stomach before finally hitting him in the head and knocking him out. Cerrone closed as a -240 fav (bet $240 to win $100) while Miller was a +220 dog (bet $100 to win $220). In the co-main event of the evening, Edson Barboza defeated Evan Dunham via first-round TKO (body kick and punches). Barboza tagged Dunham with a brutal kick to the body that stunned him and he finished up with strikes for the victory. He cashed as a -285 favorite while Dunham was a +258 dog. In a welterweight bout, Rick Story defeated Leonardo Mafra via second-round submission (arm-triangle choke). Story took Mafra down at will and beat him up before securing the choke in the second for the victory. Story was -300 while Mafra was +270. In a flyweight bout, John Lineker defeated Alptekin Ozkilic via third-round TKO (punches). Although Ozkilic was tough, Lineker was extremely impressive and he beat down his opponent so bad that the referee was forced to stop it due to strikes with 10 seconds left in the third. Lineker was -345 while Ozkilic was +315. In a lightweight bout, Gleison Tibau defeated Pat Healy via unanimous decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28). Tibau was the better striker and stopped Healy’s takedown attempts in order to win a hard-found decision. Tibau was -165 while Healy was +155. In a women’s bantamweight bout, Leslie Smith defeated Jessamyn Duke via first-round TKO (punches). Smith’s strikes were hard and powerful and she hurt Duke badly in round one with a punch to the body to win the fight. Smith was -130 while Duke was +120. In a bantamweight bout, Aljemain Sterling defeated Hugo Viana via third-round TKO (punches). Sterling put on a magnificent performance, beating down Viana for nearly the full three rounds before getting a finish late in the third. Sterling was -250 while Viana was +230. In a women’s strawweight bout, Claudia Gadelha defeated Tina Lahdemaki via unanimous decision (30-26, 30-27, 30-27). Gadelha took down Lahdemaki and beat her up on the ground en route to a dominant decision win. Gadelha was -585 and Lahdemaki was +493. UFC Fight Night 45 Underdogs That Won In a lightweight bout, Joe Proctor defeated Justin Salas via second-round TKO (punches). Although Salas won the first round, Proctor landed a hard blow in the second that rocked Salas bad and the referee decided to stop it. Proctor was +125 while Salas was -135. In a featherweight bout, Lucas Martins defeated Alex White via third-round KO (punches). Martins and White went back-and-forth for over two rounds but in the third Martins landed a massive punch on White’s chin that put him out cold. Martins was +160 and White was -170. In a lightweight bout, Yosdenis Cedeno defeated Jerrod Sanders via first-round TKO (fighter retirement). Cedeno rocked Sanders early and the fight and was well on his way to winning anyways but officially it was an injury to Sanders’ leg that was the reason he retired on the stool. Cedeno was +170 while Sanders was +185.
