Legacy FC 31 & 32 Promoter Mick Maynard: ‘It would be unethical to deny my fighters signing with UFC’

MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Legacy Fighting Championship 31 and 32 promoter Mick Maynard as he prepares for his two consecutive events on Friday night (June 13, 2014) and next Friday night (June 20, 2014) at the Arena Theatre in Houston, Texas and Horseshoe Bossier City Hotel in Bossier City, Louisiana.

The top minor league promoter has seen several of his headlining bouts altered recently due to UFC call-ups, but he won’t be stepping in the way of anyone trying to accomplish their dreams anytime soon:

“We have our clauses that allow fighters to go to the UFC. Basically my standpoint on that is, to not allow them to make that much more money and to have that opportunity to make that much more money, it’s unethical. They have a small window of opportunity to go out there and make some money and for me to hold them back, why? What am I holding on to. It just wouldn’t be right.”
