Gabe Killian’s Three-Way Parlay for UFC 174

Brendan SchaubUFC 174 Date: June 14, 2014 Arena: Rogers Arena City: Vancouver, B.C., Canada UFC 174 will be live Saturday (June 14th) night from the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, B.C., Canada with 11-scheduled bouts, including a five-fight main card that is sure to produce fireworks. The main card will kick off at 10pm ET on Pay Per View, with preliminary action starting at 8pm ET on FOX Sports 1. If interested in making this parlay, or wagering on any fights or props for UFC 174, you may do so at Several Bookmakerss. Here is my three –way parlay for UFC 174… Heavyweight bout: Andrei “The Pitbull” Arlovski (+130) vs Brendan “Big Brown” Schaub (-150) Gabe’s Thoughts: These heavyweights have spent time training together during Schaub’s stints at Jackson-Winklejohn MMA, where Arlovski continues to train out of. I have no doubt his conditioning will be on point of this bout, and the same goes for Schaub, who has incredible cardio; not just for a heavyweight, but for anybody. As long as Schaub is able to avoid Arlovski’s power shots, I think he will manage to score more points by being the quicker fighter, ultimately getting his hand raised as Bruce Buffer announces the judges’ scorecards. Gabe’s Call: Schaub by Split Decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) Welterweight bout: Daniel Sarafian (-365) vs Kiichi Kunimoto (+305) Gabe’s Thoughts: This is Sarafian’s first fight at 170-pounds and he had cardio issues at 185-pounds, so there is a chance he could be conservative and spare his gas tank – but I’m not betting on it. I am expect him to come out firing and catch Kunimoto. I think he will hurt him with his hands, take his back in the beautiful fashion which he is prone, and secure his signature rear naked choke to earn his first victory in the UFC’s welterweight division. Gabe’s Call: Sarafian by Submission (rear naked choke, 2:13 round 1) Women’s bantamweight bout: Elizabeth Phillips (-115) vs Valerie “Trouble” Letourneau (-105) Gabe’s Thoughts: Phillips is a natural bantamweight, while Lerourneau is a natural flyweight who is stepping up a weight class for her shot in the UFC. Not only in Phillips the bigger fighter, but she is also stronger and is in my opinion the superior Mixed Martial Artist. This bout is a quick turnaround for her, considering she just fought a couple of weeks ago. Fatigue may be the main issue for her, but that could also be an issue for her opponent, so even if they tire, I could see her pulling out a decision. That said, I expect her to overpower Letourneau, drop her, and finish her with ground and pound. I barely missed the opening line on Phillips at +150, but got her at +115, +110, +100, and now finally, -115, which I still think holds great value. This would be worth a straight bet, as well as the Arlovski/Schaub over, but I am confident enough in all three of these plays to parlay them. Gabe’s Call: Phillips by TKO (strikes, 4:50 round 1) Gabe’s Recommended Play: Arlovski/Schaub Over 1.5 rounds (-150) parlayed with Sarafian (-365) and Phillips (-115) for +297 3.15u to win 9.35u
