Five Crazy UFC 173 Prop Bets That Cashed Big

UFC-157 Five crazy prop bets is a column featured on MMAOddsbreaker.com after every UFC event that highlights the biggest underdog prop bets to cash out from that card Here’s five crazy UFC 173 bets that cashed big based on the closing odds at Several Bookmakers. TJ Dillashaw wins by T/KO (+2000)/Dillashaw wins in round five (+7800) In one of the biggest upsets of all time in mixed martial arts, TJ Dillashaw defeated Renan Barao via fifth-round knockout to claim the UFC bantamweight title. It was a breakthrough performance by Dillashaw, who dominated Barao the whole time until the stoppage, and the MMA world can’t wait until his next fight to see what other tricks he has up his sleeve. No one expected Dillashaw to finish Barao by knockout, so the prop on that was +2000. And the prop on Dillashaw wins in round five, which absolutely no one could have predicted, cashed at +7800. Absolutely unreal! Daniel Cormier wins by submission (+1200)/Cormier wins in round three (+1150) In the co-main event of UFC 173, Daniel Cormier was able to dominate Dan Henderson for nearly three full rounds before earning a submission via rear-naked choke in the fight’s waning moments. It was a remarkable performance by Cormier against a legend of the sport, and he earned a title shot with the win. The prop on Cormier by submission scored at +1200 and the prop on Cormier wins in round three hit at +1150. Robbie Lawler wins in round three (+1025) In a welterweight contest, Robbie Lawler improved to 4-1 since returning to the UFC with a vicious third-round TKO of Jake Ellenberger. Lawler once again proved he’s one of the best welterweights in the world and he’s very close to earning a rematch against UFC welterweight champion Johnny Hendricks. The prop on Lawler to win in the third round cashed at +1025, so congrats to anyone who bet it. James Krause wins by T/KO (+895) In the opening bout of the main card, James Krause defeated Jamie Varner via first-round TKO after Varner injured his leg and couldn’t continue. Before the stoppage Krause was definitely looking good but winning in the fashion he did obviously wasn’t the way he wanted to get his hand raised. Still, he won, and the prop by Krause by T/KO at +895 cashed out big. Vinc Pichel wins by three-round decision (+517) In one of the preliminary bouts, Vinc Pichel defeated Anthony Njokuani via clear-cut unanimous decision. This was an easier fight for Pichel than most expected as he was able to get the takedowns easily and clearly outpoint his opponent. The prop on Pichel wins by three-round decision was a winner at +517, so congrats to anyone who took that.
