UFC 172’s Charlie Brenneman: ‘We’ll see who the better wrestler is’

MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC 172 lightweight Charlie Brenneman as he prepares for his preliminary card bout tomorrow night (April 26, 2014) against Danny Castillo at the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.

The talented AMA Fight Club member has his back against the wall tonight, but he believes in his wrestling ability against his well-rounded opponent:

“I can almost guarantee he’s going to try to take me down just to prove a point…Initially, it’ll make him more dangerous but he’s playing in a tricky situations. If and when he realizes that, ‘Oh crap, this isn’t going to work,’ that’s a pretty big mental block in the middle of the fight that he’ll have to work out. After five, six, seven, eight takedowns attempts, that difference is going to be exploited and you’ll say, ‘This guy is clearly the better wrestler.'”
