UFC 172’s Danny Castillo: ‘The Barboza loss will haunt me for the rest of my career’

MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC 172 lightweight Danny Castillo as he prepares for his preliminary card bout tomorrow night (April 26, 2014) against Charlie Brenneman at the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.

The talented Team Alpha Male fighter has his back against the wall as he faces Brenneman, and it’s because of his controversial loss to Edson Barboza in his last fight when he had the talented Brazilian striker on the ropes:

“It’s something that haunts me to this day. I was just watching the countdown for UFC on Fox 11 and Edson Barboza was all over it. In the back of my mind, I was like, ‘That should have been me.’ What I didn’t do was I didn’t push in the third round and that’s something that’s gonna haunt me forever for the rest of my career. That’s a fight I should have won in the first round and it came back to bite me in the butt in the end.”
