MMA Odds and Ends for Friday: UFC Fight Night 39 Prop Bets To Consider

John-Howard For today’s special edition Fight Day edition of MMA Odds and Ends, I’ve combed through the entire UFC Fight Night 39 prop bets available at Several Bookmakers and have selected five which I believe have a very good chance of winning. Here they are. Roy Nelson vs. Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira doesn’t go three-round distance (-215) In the main event of the evening, heavyweights Roy Nelson and Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira look to get back in the win column in a fight that could produce a really brutal finish. I don’t think this fight between these heavy hitters goes five rounds, and there seems to be good value on the fight not going the full distance at only -215. Clay Guida vs. Tatsuya Kawajiri goes three-round distance (-240) In the co-main event of the evening, Clay Guida and Tatsuya Kawajiri battle in what should be an exciting featherweight fight. Like most Guida fights, I think this fight goes three rounds and at -240 I believe there’s some value on the decision prop in this spot. Ryan LaFlare vs. John Howard goes three-round distance (-185) In a welterweight bout with major divisional implications, Ryan LaFlare takes on John Howard. This should be a very competitive fight and I see it lasting the entire 15 minutes. The prop on the fight going all three rounds is only -185, and it’s one of my favorite plays on the whole card. Beneil Dariush vs. Ramsey Nijem doesn’t go three-round distance (-130) In a lightweight bout that opens up the main card, Beneil Dariush looks to make it two in a row in the UFC over Ramsey Nijem. I believe these two are going to put on a very good show for the fans but I don’t see the fight lasting the entire three rounds. So at -130, I do see some value in the fight not going the distance. Rani Yahya wins inside the distance (+190) And finally, in the first fight of the night Rani Yahya takes on Johnny Bedford in a bantamweight bout. This is a fight tailor made for Yahya’s BJJ to shine, and I definitely think he has a very good chance of collecting another submission win here over Bedford, who has very poor sub defence. At +190, I think the prop on Yahya winning ITD is worth a stab.
