UFC Fight Night 39’s Jared Rosholt: ‘I need to weather the storm and then do work’

MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC Fight Night 39 heavyweight Jared Rosholt as he prepares for his preliminary card bout this Friday (April 11, 2014) against Daniel Omielanczuk at the du Arena in Abu Dhabi.

The Team Takedown fighter has a well-rounded game and he enters this bout with the confidence of a 1-0 UFC combatant. He feels the fight will be his as long as he can handle his opponent’s early pressure:

“[Omielanczuk]’s gonna throw a lot of body and head kicks. He’s a southpaw. It’s nice that I just came off of fighting a southpaw so it’s still fresh in my mind from last camp. I had a great training partner from Canada who’s a southpaw and that was great for me. The first 30 seconds will be like, ‘Keep your hands up, weather the storm and do work.'”
