UFC 170’s Mike Pyle: ‘I’m not gonna let TJ Waldburger get comfortable’

MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with UFC 170 welterweight Mike Pyle as he prepares for his main card bout Saturday night (Feb. 22, 2014) against TJ Waldburger at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The longtime veteran understands that he has a tough test ahead of him in the younger Waldburger, but he feels he’s more than up for the challenge:

“I’ve been breaking [TJ Waldburger] down, of course. Mainly, he’s a submission guy. He prefers to be in the grappling aspect of the game. We’re just not gonna let him get comfortable. We’re not gonna let him set a pace at all. He does have heavy hands and he’ll throw ’em. He can kick, he can do it all. He’s a mixed martial artist. He’s a serious threat to me that night and I’m gonna make sure that I’m on my game and 100 percent accurate on the gameplan and come out on top.”
