MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Maximum Fighting Championship 39 heavyweight Darrill Schoonover as he prepares for his title bout this Friday night (Jan. 17, 2013) against Anthony Hamilton at the Northlands Expo Center in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
The former contestant on The Ultimate Fighter (TUF) season 10 is currently riding a solid three-fight winning streak and he he’s put in all the work to not only hold his own against the MFC champion, but hopefully outwork him:
“It’s hard getting ready for a fight during the holidays. I didn’t get to have a Thanksgiving, I didn’t get to have a Christmas or a New Year’s Eve. Let’s see if he took those same steps. If not, his cardio might not be up there…I can’t wait to go in there. Pretty much every minute of the day I’ve been thinking about it. It’s getting to me now. I really want to step in there already and make this happen.”
