WSOF 8’s Justin Gaethje: ‘I’m gonna try to punch him in the face as much as I can’

MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with World Series of Fighting 8 lightweight Justin Gaethje as he prepares for his main event title bout this Saturday night (Jan. 18, 2013) against Richard Patishnock at the Seminole Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Hollywood, Florida.

The Grudge MMA fighter has quickly burst onto the scene with a 10-0 record, which has thrust him into the spotlight, but he’s not looking to change up the formula much now that he’s headlining an event:

“I do the same thing every fight. I’m gonna move forward. I’m gonna try to punch him in the face as much as I can. I’m gonna take some shots. That’s part of the game. You have to get close enough to get punched to punch them. I’ve got to be in that range at some point. I just need to push the pace, move forward, weather his combinations. I’ll be looking for him to get it to the ground after I hit him a few times.”
