The talented young bantamweight respects his opponent’s stand-up skills but realizes that the stand-up is only one aspect of mixed martial arts.
“I don’t want to focus too much on my opponent. It’s good to know where his strengths are, but I don’t want to base my entire gameplan on him. Most of his fights have taken place on the feet and that’s where he’s at his best. He’s really good on his feet. He’s got great kicks, powerful punches and most of the guys he’s fought in World Series have stood with him. I’m not sure how good he is on the ground but we’re probably going to find out.”
