UFC 165 Prop Bets To Consider

Francis Carmont UFC 165 is poised to be one of the best MMA events of the year from both an excitement standpoint as well as a betting standpoint as there’s a ton of interesting prop bets available at Several Bookmakers for tonight’s card that I believe have a great chance of hitting. Here’s five prop bets that I believe bettors should consider putting their money down on. Francis Carmont Wins By 3-Round Decision (+250) The first prop that I like for a bet is Francis Carmont wins by three-round decision over Costa Philippou in their main-card middleweight bout. In my mind this is a very even match and it will likely come down to what the judges see. We’ve seen in the past that Carmont is a judges’ favorite, so at +250 here, this prop is definitely worth throwing some cash down on. Matt Mitrione Wins Inside The Distance (+130) The way Matt Mitrione’s going to beat Brendan Schaub will by by knockout, and the prop on Mitrione wins inside the distance pays out at +130. Since Mitrione’s moneyline is only -110 there’s only a marginal amount of added value here, but since I don’t see him winning a decision more than like five percent of the time, I think this prop is worth a shot. Khabib Nurmagomedov -3.5 Points Handicap (+105) If you’re like me and believe Khabib Nurmagomedov will dominate Pat Healy in the opening main card bout at UFC 165, then instead of betting the Russian at his inflated moneyline look for the Nurmagomedov -3.5 points handicap prop at +105. What this means is Khabib has to win by at least scores of 29-28 x 2 and 30-27 OR get a stoppage and you win your bet. That’s why I think there’s some good value here. Jesse Ronson Wins By T/KO (+230) I’m really high on young Canadian Jesse Ronson, and I think he’s going to be able to get a finish of Michel Prazeres on the UFC 165 prelims. At +230, I think the Ronson wins by T/KO prop would be a fine addition to a little round robin parlay, as this is the method I am picking him to win by. Alex Caceres Wins By 3-Round Decision (+205) And finally, one prop I really like is Alex Caceres wins by decision over Roland Delorme in the second fight of the night. Delorme has excellent submission defence and I think he’s going to be able to survive Caceres’ sub attempts. This is a scary fight to bet on because Canadian judges may side with Delorme in a close fight, but at +205 Caceres by decision is worth a stab for sure.
