Bellator 102’s Bryan Travers: ‘[Jon Carson is] one of those journeymen who’s not terrific at anything’

MMA Oddsbreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Bellator lightweight Bryan Travers as he gets prepared for his upcoming (Oct. 4, 2013) Bellator 102 preliminary card bout against Jonny Carsen at the Visalia Convention Center in Visalia, California.

Travers discusses a wide variety of subjects including his experience on the Fight Master reality TV show for Bellator, his time spend at Dethrone Base Camp and of course, his upcoming opponent Jon Carsen, who he is not intimidated by in the least:

“[Carson is] one of those journeymen who’s not terrific at anything, but he’s not bad at anything either. He has one sneaky TKO on his record where he snuck that laser point. Every lefty has one or two TKOs where they snuck that left hand right on the button. I’m not known for being chinny, but everyonen’s got a button. It comes down to my coaches. I’ve fought lefties before and I’ve KO’d or TKO’d them both. It’s easy for lefties because they’re always fighting righties. If you want to mess with a lefty, match them up with another lefty. There’s a template, a set group of rules you need to follow to beat a lefty. You have to have them ingrained in your head and that’s what I’ve been doing for the past two months.”
