Glory 56 Opening Betting Odds

Glory 56 takes place Friday, August 10th at the 1stBank Center in Broomfield, Coloradio.

The main event sees Glory light heavyweight champion Artem Vakhitov (19-5) put his belt on the line against challenger Danyo Ilunga (58-13). Pereira has an 8-1 record in Glory and has won six straight fights, winning the title at Glory 28 in March of 2016 and most recently earning a unanimous decision victory against Ariel Machado last October. The veteran Ilunga has gone 8-6 in Glory and went on a poor stretch that saw him winless over two years from 2015-2017 but he bounced back with two consecutive wins with the promotion. He most recently won a unanimous decision against Fraser Weightman at Glory 54 this past June in Birmingham.

The co-main event sees the Glory women’s super bantamweight champion Anissa Mekson (95-4) battle Brazilian challenger Jady Menezes (12-2) for the Glory super bantamweight title. Mekson is 5-0 in Glory with one knockout victory. She most recently defended her belt with a unanimous decision victory against Amel Dehby at Glory 53 this past May. Menezes is 0-1 in Glory with her one loss in the promotion being against Mekson via unanimous decision last July. She also holds a 3-1 record in MMA.

There are plenty other intriguing bouts on the card including light heavyweight tournament qualification bouts that feature MMA fighters Chris Camozzi and Myron Dennis.
