DWTNCS Season 2 Week 8 Closing Odds and Betting Results

Dana White Tuesday Night Contender Series Season 2 Week 8 took place on Tuesday, August 7. The card was headlined by a heavyweight bout between former NFL standout Greg Hardy and Tebaris Gordon.

Favorites that Won

Greg Hardy put the entire UFC Heavyweight Division on notice as he finished Tebaris Gordon by knockout in 17 seconds. Hardy closed -710. Gordon closed +460. Hardy will continue on a developmental contract.

Kennedy Nzechukwu started fast making quick work of his opponent Dennis Bryant earning a TKO in under two minutes. Nzechukwu earned a UFC contract with the victory. Nzechukwu closed the biggest favorite on the card at -960 while Bryant closed +560.

Bobby Moffett dominated his bout with Jacob Kilburn from start to finish. He took Kilburn to the mat with ease and pressured him on the mat until he was able to secure the submission in round two. With the submission, Moffett earned a UFC contract. Moffett closed -460. Kilburn closed +340.

After a back and forth first round where both fighters took their licks, Alex Gilpin took J.R. Coughran to the mat in the second and secured a submission to win the opening bout of the card. Gilpin closed -320 while Coughran closed +245.

Underdogs that Won

Devonte Smith landed Travis Browne-esque elbows against the cage to knockout Joe Lowry while he was attempting a takedown. The surprising finish earned Smith a contract to the UFC. Smith closed +135 with the return on Lowry -165.
