Five Props that Cashed Big at UFC on Fox 28

Five Props is a column featured on MMAOddsbreaker.com after every major MMA event that highlights the biggest underdog prop bets to cash out from that card. Here are five UFC on Fox 28 prop bets that cashed big based on the closing odds from across various sportsbooks.

1) Ilir Latifi by Submission (+1100)

The biggest prop cash of the night happened in the night’s top ten clash in the light heavyweight division. Despite giving up seven inches in reach, Ilir Latifi was able to get inside and land a punch to drop Ovince St. Preux. The follow up is what paid out bettors handsomely as Latifi latched in a guillotine forcing St. Preux to tap. Latifi by submission paid out at +1100.

2) Marion Reneau by Submission (+605)

Marion Reneau knew she’d have opportunities off her back to secure a submission against a great wrestler like Sara McMann and that is what she did. After a McMann takedown in round tow, Reneau locked in a triangle choke to secure the victory and give bettors a +605 winner.

3) Max Griffin by Decision (+455)

As one of the biggest underdogs of the evening, few thought Max Griffin would survive 15 minutes nevermind win the fight. Instead, Griffin utilized his speed avoiding most of Perry’s big punches and landing much more of his own over 15 minutes to win a decision. The decision victory prop paid out at +455 for Griffin backers.

4) Sam Alvey by Knockout (+395)

It had been nearly two years since Sam Alvey won by knockout, but he took UFC newcomer Marcin Prachnio to task landing a beautiful punch as Prachnio came in to send him to the canvas. Alvey got back on track in this fight with a knockout winner paying out at +395.

5) Brian Kelleher by Decision (+325)

In an exciting bout, Brian Kelleher showed no fear against former bantamweight champion Renan Barao. He pressured Barao and forced to him work, but it was the volume from Kelleher which allowed him to pull away from Barao to earn a hard fought decision for the biggest win of his career. Kelleher by decision paid +325.

A $100 parlay on these five props would have netted $987,674.
