Al Iaquinta vs Paul Felder at UFC 223
FloCombat broke the news that a lightweight contest has been booked between Al Iaquinta and Paul Felder for UFC 223 in April. Iaquinta (13-3-1) most recently returned from a two-year break to knock out Diego Sanchez in the first round last April. He is currently riding a five-fight winning streak. Felder (15-3) has won three consecutive bouts, most recently securing a TKO win over Charles Oliveira at UFC 218 in December.
This bout was originally scheduled for UFC 218 but Iaquinta pulled out due to injury. I think the odds for this contest are going to be close, with a very slight edge towards Iaquinta due to his longer win streak and success against slightly higher levels of competition.
Mairbek Taisumov vs Evan Dunham in the works
Also at UFC 223, a bout is rumored between Mairbek Taisumov and Evan Dunham. Combined, both men have gone undefeated in their last 10 fights inside the Octagon. The event is scheduled to take place in Brooklyn, New York.
