ACB 77 takes place in Moscow, Russia on Saturday (Dec. 23, 2017) at 1 p.m. (ET). Lightweight champion Abdul-Aziz Abdulvakhabov defends his title against Eduard Vartanyan in a rematch from their March 2016 encounter at ACB 32.
Abdulvakhabov (14-1) is riding a 14-fight win streak and hasn’t lost since his professional debut in September 2011. The 28-year-old competes for the first time this year having had two fights cancelled. Vartanyan (18-3) heads into this rematch on a four-fight win streak, including a unanimous decision victory over Andrey Koshkin at ACB 71 in September. The 26-year-old has finished two of his last four opponents.
The vacant middleweight title is on the line in the co-main event as Bellator veteran Vyacheslav Vasilevsky faces Albert Duraev. Vasilevsky (32-5) heads into this matchup on a four-fight win streak including a second-round TKO victory over Luis Melo at Plotforma S-70 8th in August. The 29-year-old has finished three of his last four opponents. Duraev (10-3) hasn’t lost a fight since March 2014 and has racked up six-straight wins. The 28-year-old recently defeated UFC veteran Clifford Starks at ACB 67 in August by second-round submission.
A pair of Russian fighters battle for the interim featherweight title as Alexander Peduson squares off against Yusup Raisov. Peudson (12-1) has finished his last three opponents including a first-round TKO win over Artak Nazaryan at ACB 62 in June. Raisov (11-1) is coming off a unanimous decision victory over former WSOF title challenger Luis Palomino at ACB 67.
