Bare Knuckle Boxing 8 Betting Odds

Bare Knuckle Boxing 8 takes place at the Sports Connexion Leisure Club in Coventry, United Kingdom this Saturday (Nov. 4, 2017). For those unaware of the rules, fights are anywhere between three and five rounds, with each round being two minutes. Scoring is similar to boxing and MMA with a maximum of 10 points per round. Fighters are not permitted to headbutt, hit below the belt, hit the back of the head, or use anything other than their hands to strike an opponent. In the main event, Ultimate Fighter veteran Julian Lane faces undefeated Jimmy Sweeney.

Lane heads into this matchup off back-to-back losses in MMA. The 30-year-old has a MMA record of 11-8-1 and is most famous for his “let me bang bro” shenanigans on The Ultimate Fighter. He also appeared on TUF season 25, but lost to Ramsey Nijem in his first fight. Sweeney boasts a 17-0 record and widely considered the best fighter in the sport. He’s coming off a win over another UFC veteran in Melvin Guillard, earning a five-round decision to retain his middleweight title.

The co-main event features James McCrory vs UFC veteran Goran Reljic. McCrory is best known as the star of a Vice documentary about underground bare knuckle boxing in the UK. Reljic hasn’t fought in the UFC in seven years and has lost his last four MMA fights heading into this bout, two of them by by knockout.

UFC veteran Melvin Guillard will also be competing on the card as he takes on James Higgy.
