Kamaru Usman vs. Emil Weber Meek targeted for UFC 219

Journalist Farah Hannoun broke the news that top welterweight Kamaru Usman will face Emil Weber Meek at UFC 219 on December 30th.

Usman (11-1) kept his unblemished UFC record in tact after knocking out Sergio Moraes in the first round at UFC Pittsburgh last month. The 29-year-old has gone 6-0 in the UFC and hasn’t lost a fight since May 2013. Meek (9-2, 1 NC) hasn’t competed since a unanimous decision win over Jordan Mein at UFC 206 last December. The Norwegian fighter was slated to face Nordine Taleb at UFC Fight Night 109 however he had to pull out of the fight due to injury.
