ACB 72 Opening Betting Odds

ACB 72 takes place at Tohu Circus Arts Hall in Montreal, QC on Saturday (Oct. 14th 2017) at 6 pm EST. Former UFC flyweight Zach Makovsky battles TUF 24’s Yoni Sherbatov in the main event.

Makovsky (20-8) is coming off his first submission win since Oct. 2011 when he tapped out Josiel Silva in his ACB debut in May. That win also snapped the former Bellator bantamweight champion’s three-fight skid. Sherbatov (6-0-1) was upset on TUF 24 in the opening round, suffering a submission loss to Eric Shelton. The 29-year-old Russian-Canadian has remained undefeated in his seven-fight career, including a 44 second knockout over Martin Sandoval back in February.

In the co-main event, UFC veteran Nah-shon Burrell battles Russian fighter Beslan Isaev. Burrell (15-7) has won four of his last five fights including a first-round TKO win over Micah Terrill at XXC 28 in June. The 27-year-old boasts 10 career wins by knockout. Isaev (36-9) makes his North American debut and his coming off a 33-second TKO victory over UFC veteran Elvis Mutapcic at ACB 61 in May. The 34-year-old is 2-2 in his last four fights.

Also on the card is former UFC lightweight Jesse Ronson battling fellow Canadian Jeremie Capony. Ronson (17-8) has won back-to-back fights by knockout since dropping back to the lightweight division last year. The Adrenaline MMA product hasn’t won three fights in a row since August 2013. Capony (5-1) is coming off his first-career loss when he was submitted by Kevin Généreux at TKO 38 in April. The Tristar product competes for the third time this year.
