Prop Plays for UFC Fight Night 117

UFC Fight Night 117: St. Preux vs. Okami
Date: September 22, 2017
Arena: Saitama Super Arena
City: Saitama, Japan

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) will be back in Saitama, Japan for the fifth time in promotional history with UFC Fight Night 117: St. Preux vs. Okami. The prelims will be live on FXX at 8 p.m., with the main card getting going on the same channel at 10 p.m. If interested in wagering on any bouts for these fight cards, all betting lines are made available at Several Bookmakers.

Ovince St. Preux (-440) vs. Yoshin Okami (+390)

OSP Inside the Distance (-185)

I think OSP wins this fight inside the distance much more often than not. If he fails to secure an early finish, I think Okami will fader in later rounds, which will make it easier for OSP to secure the stoppage to earn his second consecutive victory inside the Octagon.

Claudia Gadelha (-270) vs. Jessica Andrade (+248)

Gadelha Inside the Distance (+256)

I favor Gadelha to defeat Andrade inside distance, likely via rear naked choke submission, similar to how she defeated her previous foe Karolina Kowalkiewicz. I believe Gadelha will have a massive advantage on the mat, and over the course of three rounds, I do favor her to find the finish. I think she gets the job done in the opening stanza, as she did in her most recent outing against the aforementioned Kowalkiewicz.

Dong Hyun Kim (-370) vs. Takanori Gomi (+330)

Fight Won’t Start Round Two (-123)

Kim is most likely likely going to stop Gomi inside the opening round, but his striking defense is quite poor, which will leave openings for Gomi to possibly knock him out. One way or another, i think somebody is getting finished early in this fight, and I do see value in this prop at the current asking price of -123.

Alex Morono (-125) vs. Keita Nakamura (+115)

Nakamura by Submission (+450)

Nakamura in Round Three (+1525)

I do agree with the betting odds in that Morono should be a slight betting favorite in this bout, however I think Namakura has a good chance of stealing this fight. I expect Morono to win the first two rounds and for Nakamura to score a come from behind rear naked choke submission in the third.
