Toe-To-Toe Tuesdays Boxing Betting Odds for July 18

The Premier Boxing Champions are in Louisiana for their latest “Toe-To-Toe Tuesdays” fight card this Tuesday (July 18, 2017) that will see the main events air on FOX Sports 1. Nine fights in all are featured at the live event, so check back to see if any additional lines pop up.

One of the 10-round features comes in the heavyweight division, as former IBF world champion Charles Martin (24-1-1) looks to notch his second win in a row since losing his belt to Anthony Joshua back in April of 2016. After losing to Joshua, Martin seemed to fall off the radar, making news once for being shot during an early morning altercation in Los Angeles. But he came back in April of this year and notched a second-round stoppage over journeyman Byron Polley.

Providing the opposition is Michael Marrone (21-7), who has gone 2-5 since the beginning of 2011 and fighting sporadically during that stretch. In those fights, Marrone has been stopped by some big names, including Guillermo Jones, Shannon Briggs and Chazz Witherspoon. The PBC likely wants to see Martin back on track, and this type of match is designed to net him a win. Don’t look for Marrone to put up too much of a fight.

An eight-round bout is also getting a look at Several Bookmakers, as former light heavyweight contender Edwin Rodriguez (28-2) returns after a layoff of more than a year to take on Jovany Javier Gomez.(17-14). Rodriguez is making his return after a long layoff and trying to bounce back after taking a loss to Thomas Williams Jr. in his last outing back in April of 2016.

The match with Williams Jr. saw both men throwing bombs before his opponent got the stop in round two. The only other loss for Rodriguez came to Andre Ward via a unanimous decision. Rodriguez is scheduled to face Jovany Javier Gomez (17-14), a 26-year-old who went 3-0 in 2016 after a layoff of more than two years. Once again, this match is designed by the PBC to notch Rodriguez a victory and get him back on track.

The 10-round main event will come in the featherweight division, as once-beaten Miguel Flores (21-1) takes on veteran slugger Chris Avalos (26-5). Another 10-round co-feature will showcase undefeated light heavyweight prospect Ahmed Elbiali (15-0) as he takes on Leo Hall (8-2). Those fights are expected on the FOX Sports 1 broadcast and could get a late look at Several Bookmakers. Check your local listings for start times on FS1.
