UFC Fight Night 113: Nelson vs. Ponzinibbio

Date: July 22, 2017
Arena: SSE Hydro
City: Glasgow, Soctland

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is heading back to Glasgow, Scotland for the second time in promotional history this Sunday (July 16, 2017) with UFC Fight Night 113: Nelson vs. Ponzinibbio. The 12-fight card kicks off with preliminary action on UFC Fight Pass at 12 p.m. (ET), and the prelims continue on FOX Sports 1 at 1 p.m. The main card begins on the same channel at 3 p.m. If interested in wagering on any bouts for this fight card, all betting lines are available at Several Bookmakers.

Here are my top props for UFC Fight Night 113…

Gunnar Nelson (-175) vs. Santiago Ponzinibbio (+155)

Nelson by Submission (+120)

In short, I think this is the most likely outcome to this 170-pound main event scheduled for five rounds.

Cynthia Calvillo (-210) vs. Joanne Calderwood (+175)

Calvillo by Submission (+160)

I see this as being the most likely outcome to this bout. Calvillo will have a big advantage on the mat, and once there, I think it will only be a matter of time until she secures a submission to earn the finish. Calderwood may refuse to tap and instead go for a nap in this one.

Alexandre Pantoja (-370) vs. Neil Seery (+310)

Pantoja by Submission (+430)

I think it is 50/50 as to whether Pantoja wins this fight on the judges’ scorecards or by submission, so considering the Decision prop is +111, I will happily take the Submission prop at the currently offered price of +430.

Galore Bofando (-190) vs. Charlie Ward (+165)

Ward by Submission (+1278)

This is simply a value play because of Ward’s advantage in the grappling department heading into this welterweight affair.

Brett Johns (-365) vs. Albert Morales (+305)

Johns by Decision (-140)

I expect Johns’ superior wrestling to make the difference in this 135-pound scrap, as I see him scoring takedowns and keeping Morales on his back for the majority of three rounds to pick up a unanimous-decision victory on the judges’ scorecards.
