MMAFighting broke the news Thursday that lightweight Joe Duffy has signed a seven-fight contract with UFC after testing free agency.

Duffy (16-2) is only one of three fighters to defeat Conor McGregor in his career and boasts a 4-1 record in the UFC. The 29-year-old is coming off a unanimous-decision victory over Reza Madadi at UFC Fight Night 107 in March. His lone setback in the Octagon was a 2016 unanimous-decision loss to Dustin Poirier.
