MMA Odds and Ends for Friday: Rustam Khabilov vs. Desmond Green added to UFC Fight Night Rotterdam

UFC officials announced four new matchups to the UFC Fight Night Rotterdam card on September 2nd, including Rustam Khabilov vs. Desmond Green. Other matchups added to the card include Marcos Rogerio de Lima vs. Saparbek Safarov, Francimar Barroso vs. Aleksandar Rakic and Bojan Mihajlovic vs. Abdul-Kerim Edilov.

Khabilov (21-3) heads into this matchup on a four-fight win streak, most recently defeating Jason Saggo by unanimous decision at UFC 206 in December. The 30-year-old has amassed a 7-2 record in the octagon. Meanwhile, Green (20-5) is coming off a successful UFC debut in April, when he outpointed Josh Emmett at UFC 210 to take home a unanimous-decision victory. The former Titan FC featherweight champion has won six of his last seven fights.

De Lima (15-5-1) is coming off a setback to Ovince Saint Preux and has alternated between wins and losses since moving to the light heavyweight division in 2014. Safarov (8-1) hasn’t fought since he lost his UFC debut to Gian Villante in December. The 30-year-old will be fighting for just the third time since 2015.

Barroso (19-5, 1 NC) is coming off a unanimous-decision victory over Darren Stewart at UFC Fight Night 107. Rakic (8-1) makes his UFC debut and heads into this matchup on a seven-fight winning streak.

Mihajlovic (10-5) will be searching for his first UFC victory after going 0-2 in the Octagon. Edilov (16-4) will be making his UFC debut and is riding a eight-fight win streak.
