Five Props that Cashed Big at UFC 211

Five Props is a column featured on MMAOddsBreaker.com after every major MMA event that highlights the biggest underdog prop bets to cash out from that card. Here are five UFC 211 prop bets that cashed big based on the closing odds at Several Bookmakers.

1) Frankie Edgar by T/KO (+750)

Edgar defeated Yair Rodriguez via TKO, as the Octagon-side doctor rendered Rodriguez unfit to continue between rounds two and three. It was yet another solid outing for Edgar, who proves to be arguably the second-best featherweight in the division along with Max Holloway. A potential Edgar versus Holloway matchup is one fans would love to see, regardless of whether Holloway walks away with the belt or not at UFC 212 when he faces Jose Aldo in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Congrats to those who gambled on Edgar getting the T/KO stoppage here, as it paid out at an incredible +750, the biggest prop bet to cash on the night.

2) Jason Knight by T/KO (+600)

Knight defeated Chas Skelly via third-round TKO to make it four straight wins for himself inside the Octagon. He made his UFC debut on short notice against Tatsuya Kawajiri and lost that bout by unanimous decision, but he has been hell for his opponents ever seen, finishing two of the four opponents on his current streak. “The Kid” continues to win over fans with every performance, and with the win over Skelly, he has started to make serious noise at 145 pounds and will likely be recognized as a contender moving forward. Kudos are in order to those who wagered on Knight winning this fight by T/KO, as it paid out beautifully at +600.

3) Demian Maia by Decision (+370)

Maia defeated Jorge Masvidal via split decision following three rounds of action to make it seven straight wins for himself inside the Octagon. According to UFC president Dana White, Maia will be getting the next crack at the promotion’s 170-pound title. It was not an easy win for Maia, as Masvidal gave him fits over the course of 15 minutes, but his size advantage and superior grappling proved to be the difference in the bout. Congratulations are in order here to those who wagered on this prop, especially if you tailed me on it, as it paid out at a sweet +370.

4) James Vick by T/KO (+320)

Vick defeated Polo Reyes via first-round TKO, making short work of the Mexican fighter. The Ultimate Fighter 15 veteran now enjoys a two-fight winning streak inside the Octagon and hopes to compete a couple more times this year. Congrats to those who wagered on Vick to end this fight with strikes, as it paid out at a nice +320.

5) David Branch by Decision (+235)

Branch defeated surging welterweight prospect Krzystof Jotko via split decision on the judges’ scorecards following three lackluster rounds of action. He was not happy with the victory but is happy to get a win his return to the UFC. Congratulations are due to those who took Branch by Decision here, as it paid out at a solid +235.

A $100 parlay on these five props would have netted $393,367.
