LFA 11 Opening Odds

LFA 11 emanates from the Comerica Theatre in Phoenix, Arizona on Friday night (May 5, 2017) and will be televised live on AXS TV. In the main event, Australlia’s Matthew Frincu looks for his fourth win in a row when he battles Brazilian Maycon Mendonça. Frincu (10-2) was slated to take on Daniel Madrid in a middleweight contest, but the 33-year-old had to pull out due to injury. The lone losses for “The Thunder From Down Under” are to WSOF standout Abubakar Nurmagomedov and TUF Nations competitor Tyler Manawaroa. Mendoca (6-1) heads into his LFA debut on a six-fight win streak and has won half of those fights by stoppage.

In the co-main event, MMA Lab standout James Nakashima puts his undefeated record on the line against Bellator veteran LaRue Burley. Nakashima (6-0) has fought five of his six career fights under the RFA banner, going the distance in all of his fights. Burley (7-2) snapped his two-fight skid in his last bout by taking out Cedric Marks via knockout this past September. The 33-year-old is perhaps best known for his upset victory over Bubba Jenkins at Bellator 100 where he was a +925 underdog.
