Your Best Bets for UFC on FOX 24’s ‘Fight of the Night’

UFC on FOX 24: Johnson vs. Reis
Date: April 15, 2017
Arena: Sprint Center
City: Kansas City, MO

The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is in Kansas City, MO for the first time in promotional history with UFC on FOX 24: Johnson vs. Reis. The stacked 13-fight card is set to kick off this Saturday (April 15, 2017) with four preliminary fights on UFC Fight Pass at 4 p.m. ET, with preliminary action continuing on FOX at 6 p.m. and the main card getting underway on the same channel at 8 p.m. If interested in wagering on any bouts for this fight card, all betting lines are available at Several Bookmakers.

The “Fight of the Night” plays that hold the most value are:

Namajunas/Waterson +550 1u to win 5.5u

This is a co-main event between arguably two of the most entertaining fighters in the UFC’s women’s strawweight division, outside of the champion of course. Namajunas and Waterson are both very talented and well-rounded, so I expect this to be an entertaining battle wherever the fight goes. I think this pair produces fireworks more often than not, so at +550, I think they are worth gambling on to take home the prize. I think this line should be +300, so I see value at the current price. Regardless of the outcome to this one, I think we will be in for one helluva scrap. Should these ladies manage to take home the evening’s “Fight of the Night” honors, it would be the second time for Namajunas while being the first for Waterson.

Stephens/Moicano +650 1u to win 6.5u

These featherweights are scheduled to kick off the main card on FOX, and I believe they will get things started on a high note. Both of these 145-pounders are generally involved in entertaining battles, and I expect this to be another one. Stephens is eager to return to the win column and aims to do so in impressive fashion against the undefeated Brazilian in Moicano, who is in search of the biggest victory of his career. This is a big fight for both, and I think +650 is a good price tag to be betting on them to deliver. If these featherweights walk away with the “Fight of the Night” bonus, it would be the fourth time for Stephens and the first for Moicano.

2017 FOTN results: 3–2-4 for +10.5u

Hits:

Andrade/Hill (+800) at UFC Fight Night 104
Teymur/Vannata (+450) at UFC 209
Burgos/Rosa (+700) at UFC 210
