UFC 205 Trainer Marcus Davis: ‘Tim Boetsch said this is the best camp he’s ever had’

MMAOddsBreaker’s Frank Trigg speaks with Marcus Davis as he prepares UFC 205 middleweight Tim Boetsch for his upcoming preliminary card bout this Saturday night (November 12, 2016) against Rafael Natal at Madison Square Garden in New York City.

The Maine native discusses how he has gotten Boetsch ready for his opponent Natal:

“I know I’m a more well-rounded striker than Natal. I’m not the world-class Jiu-Jitsu guy he is, but I would get in there, and I’d work with Tim. And after we’d be sparring or whatever, I would go to the guys that I knew were really high-level black belt Jiu-Jitsu guys we had in the gym, and I’d say ‘get on him.’ Then I’d whisper in their ears, ‘I want you to do this to Tim’ and try to help them beat Tim. That’s just the way you do it. Tim, sometimes that would piss him off. He understood why I was doing it, but still you get pissed off. Then the end of camp came, Tim turned to me and he said, ‘this is the best camp I’ve ever had – I feel better than I ever have.'”
