Here are my quick thoughts on the PFL 2024: Week 2:

  • The main event of PFL 2 sees Impa Kasanganay take on Alex Polizzi at light heavyweight. Kasanganay won the PFL light heavyweight tournament last season and he put on a great showing against Johnny Eblen in his last bout, barely losing a split decision. As for Polizzi, he has lost his last two fights in a row but his training partners also rave about him. Still, you have to lean toward Kasanganay here to go out there and get back into the win column.
  • The co-main event features Rob Wilkinson against Tom Breese. Wilkinson won the 2022 PFL light heavyweight tournament but he failed a drug test in the next season and was quickly booted from it. However, PFL is giving him another chance to win another tournament title. As for Breese, he has won his last three fights in a row, including a bout in PFL Europe that earned him this opportunity to compete in this tourney. Both of these fighters used to be in the UFC, so fight fans should be rather familiar with both of them. Even though Wilkinson failed a drug test, he does seem like the better fighter and he is the rightful favorite entering this bout.
