UFC 250 Opening Odds

Henry Cejudo -200
Jose Aldo +160

Amanda Nunes -400
Felicia Spencer +300

On Henry Cejudo vs. Jose Aldo:

“There are a few lines floating around right now and I think they’re actually decent. The opening line I believe was around -210 Cejudo and +180 Aldo, so maybe a little high on the dog, but I think as a public line it’s actually fair. 2-to-1 is a fair price because you will get two-way action. I think we will get two-way sharp action. I think more public action will come in on Cejudo honestly. Despite Jose Aldo having an awesome reputation and a lot of fans knowing who he is, I think at this point a lot of fans think of him as a step backward. He’s not in the peak of his career whereas Cejudo is the one on the rise, he’s climbing, he’s in the public eye right now. I think we’re going to see a little more square action come in on Ceudo with some sharp action mixed in for sure, I’m not saying it’s only going to be the square side, but eventually, I think we’ll eventually see some sharper action take a stab on Jose Aldo because it will be a pretty competitive fight. But there’s no mistake here, I think at this point of their careers you have to favor Cejudo. I’ve been really impressed with what this guy’s done, I mean he’s taken himself to another level, with all the hard work he’s gotten better, he’s definitely an elite level fighter now. You have to tip your hat to the guy.”

On Amanda Nunes vs. Felicia Spencer:

“It’s going to be a hefty line. Right now we’re seeing prices float around 4-to-1 or 5-to-1. I think a fair market price is -400 and +300. You’re going to draw a lot of two-way action. I think it might get bet up a little bit. Again if it gets bet up a little too high then there’s too much disrespect on Spencer, and there may be a little bit of value that shows up on her side despite me thinking she probably doesn’t come away with the win here. So I think a two-way public line at -400/+300 is probably about right. Both of the lines floating around out there are stable and they’re solid. We’ll see some movement for sure because we’ll see some parlay action coming in. That’s one thing that people maybe aren’t factoring in these days. Even Vegas books, there are more sportsbooks taking more parlay action on UFC fights. So parlaying Nunes and Cejudo for example, the line may increase on both sides as well.”
