Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for Dana White’s Contender Series 95:
- The headliner of DWCS 95 is a women’s bantamweight bout between Summer Onley and Alivia Bierley. The UFC badly needs to find new women’s bantamweight prospects, so this is a fight that makes a lot of sense, as they are guaranteed to sign one of these two ladies, if not both of them. Onley is a perfect 6-0 in her MMA career so far, with five of her wins coming by way of stoppage, and Bierley is 5-1, with three of her wins coming by stoppage. This should be a really good fight between two women who love to throw down, so look for the UFC to sign the winner, and possibly even the loser if the fight turns out to be exciting.
- Also on the card is a welterweight bout between Sal Everett and Ozzy Martin. Everett works for UFC president Dana White and is an exciting prospect who has won all four of his pro MMA fights by stoppage so far. As for Martin, much of the same can be said for him, as he’s also won all four of his fights by stoppage in his MMA career while fighting for Cage Titans. This should be an amazing fight for as long as it lasts, but it’s hard not to like the betting underdog Martin here at plus money.
