Here are my quick thoughts on the UFC Vegas 120 Opening Odds:
- The main event of UFC Vegas 120 is a five-round lightweight bout between Mateusz Gamrot and Quillan Salkilld. Gamrot is one of the top-10 ranked lightweights in the UFC, and he is coming off a submission win over Esteban Ribovics in his last fight. He is one of the best lightweights in the sport and has proven to be a tough out in the UFC lightweight division due to his strong grappling game. As for Salkilld, he is 5-0 in the UFC since making his debut in the promotion last year and is looking like someone who could fight for the belt in the next year or two. This should be an amazing main event between two great fighters, but given how dangerous Salkilld is, the early money has come in on him.
- In the co-main event, Billy Quarantillo takes on Diego Ferreira in a lightweight bout. Both veterans are no longer the fighters that they once were in their primes, but this should be an exciting matchup for as long as it lasts. But with Ferreira being the more well-rounded fighter, he is the betting favorite to get his hand raised in this main event fight at UFC Vegas 120.
