Here are my quick thoughts on the UFC Vegas 115 Opening Odds:
- The main event of UFC Vegas 115 is a five-round lightweight bout featuring Renato Moicano and Chris Duncan. Moicano is coming off back-to-back losses to Islam Makhachev and Beneil Dariush, which saw his four-fight win streak end. He was supposed to fight Brian Ortega, and then he was linked to Esteban Ribovics, but in the end, he got this main event spot at Meta Apex against Duncan, who has been on a roll as of late. Duncan has won four straight fights and six of seven overall in the UFC, with three submission wins in his last four bouts. This should be a very intriguing matchup between teammates at American Top Team, but with Moicano holding far more experience inside the Octagon, the oddsmakers opened him up as the betting favorite for this main event bout.
- In the co-main event, we have a women’s strawweight bout between Virna Jandiroba and Tabatha Ricci. Jandiroba is coming off a close decision loss to Mackenzie Dern in a failed attempt to become the champion, while Ricci has won three of her last four bouts entering this contest, including collecting the first knockout of her UFC career in her last bout.
