Here are my quick thoughts on the UFC Vegas 112 Opening Odds:
- The main event of UFC Vegas 112 sees Brandon Royval battle Manel Kape for five rounds or fewer at flyweight. Royval is one of the top flyweights in the UFC and is coming off a very close decision loss to Joshua Van in what was one of the best fights of 2025. As for Kape, he is coming off two straight knockout wins over Asu Almabayev and Bruno Silva. This should be an amazing fight for as long as it lasts, and could very well garner the winner a title shot at 125 lbs.
- In the co-main event, we have a battle of featherweights as Kevin Vallejos takes on Giga Chikadze. Vallejos is 2-0 so far in the UFC, and he looks like one of the best young featherweight prospects in the game at only 24 years of age. As for Chikadze, he is coming off three losses in his last four fights, and he is now 37 years of age. Credit to Chikadze for giving an unranked opponent a chance to test himself against a ranked fighter, but you have to lean toward the much younger Vallejos to pick up the biggest win of his career in this matchup.
