Here are my quick thoughts on the UFC Louisville Opening Odds:

  • The main event features Nassourdine Imavov against Jared Cannonier. The odds are a Pick ’em, showing how competitive this bout is on paper. Imavov is coming off a majority decision win over Roman Doldize that snapped a two-fight winless skid. Conversely, Cannonier is coming off a record-breaking decision win over Marvin Vettori and beat Sean Strickland before that. This looks like a close fight, but Cannonier has the superior wins and experience.
  • In the co-main event, we have Dustin Jacoby taking on Dominic Reyes. Jacoby is a decision loss to Alonzo Menifield in his last fight and overall he has lost three of his last four bouts, with all three losses coming on the scorecards. The lone KO win during that stretch was against Kennedy Nzechukwu, showing that Jacoby still has big-time power when he needs to show it. As for Reyes, he has lost four straight fights, with his last three losses coming by knockout. While Reyes was once one of the best light heavyweights in the world, it was almost five years ago that he last won a fight. Based on that alone, you must lean toward Jacoby to win here.
