Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for PFL vs. Bellator: Champs:

  • The main event of the first-ever PFL vs. Bellator: Champs card features Bellator heavyweight champion Ryan Bader taking on PFL heavyweight champion Renan Ferreira. Bader has won his last three fights in a row, including a brutal knockout win over MMA legend Fedor Emelianenko in his last fight. As for Ferreira, he is unbeaten over his last four bouts, with wins in his last three outings. Ferreira is the bigger man, which is always an interesting dynamic, but you have to lean toward Bader to use his wrestling edge in this championship title match.
  • The co-main event features Bellator middleweight champion Johnny Eblen taking on PFL light heavyweight champion Impa Kasanganay, who is dropping down in weight for this contest. Eblen is unbeaten with a 14-0 record as a pro and he was one of the best fighters in Bellator before the promotion was bought out by PFL. As for Kasanganay, he was cut by the UFC and then went to PFL, where he became the champion at 205 lbs. While Kasanganay had an amazing run in PFL, you have to lean toward the undefeated Eblen to win this contest and get the win in this bout.
