Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds For Bellator 301:

  • The main event of Bellator 301 is a welterweight title bout between champion Yaroslav Amosov and challenger Jason Jackson. Amosov has won all 27 of his pro bouts and he has looked amazing in Bellator with a perfect 8-0 record in the promotion. As for Jackson, he has won his last six fights in a row and has looked fantastic in his own right. You have to lean toward Amosov to win this fight because of his win streak, even though Jackson is solid too.
  • The co-main event of Bellator 301 is a bantamweight title unification bout between champion Sergio Pettis and interim champ Patchy Mix. Pettis has won his last six fights in a row, including five straight wins since joining Bellator. As for Mix, he has won five straight fights since his lone career defeat to Juan Archuleta in 2020. This is an incredible fight between two fantastic bantamweights who are among the best in the world in their weight class. Despite Pettis being the actual champ, Mix, the interim champ, opened up as the betting favorite here.
