Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for Cage Warriors 162:

  • The main event of CWFC is a lightweight bout between Simone Patrizi and Dumitru Girlean. Patrizi has won his last three fights in a row including a knockout victory for Cage Warriors in his last outing. As for Girlean, he has fought twice for Cage Warriors, going 1-1 in the promotion, including losing his last fight. Since Patrizi is actually coming off a win, it is no surprise to see him as the betting favorite for this fight. It should be a close battle overall, but given that Patrizi has a bit more momentum, it makes sense that he is favored to get the win.
  • Also on the card is a women’s strawweight bout between Micol di Segni and Samantha Jean-Francois. De Segni is 1-1 overall in Cage Warriors and fight fans may remember her from her stint fighting on Dana White’s Contender Series back in 2019, where she lost a decision to Mallory Martin. As for Jean-Francois, this is actually her first time fighting for Cage Warriors. We should note that she has won her last four straight fights, so she heads into this bout with plenty of momentum on her side. Actually, we would lean towards the dog if we had to here.
