Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for LFA 181:

  • The main event of LFA 181 features Igor Siqueira against Eimar Hernandez for the interim LFA flyweight title. Siqueira is coming off a TKO loss to Cody Davis in his last fight which was his first and only fight in LFA to this point. As for Hernandez, he is a perfect 7-0 in his MMA career with several fights for Urijah Faber’s A1 Combat, as well as Cage Warriors. Although this is the first fight for Hernandez in LFA, he is the betting favorite here due to his unbeaten record in the cage.
  • In the co-main event, Quang Le takes on Tial Thang at bantamweight. Le is unbeaten in his pro MMA career at 7-0 with six of those wins coming in LFA — most of them coming by finish. He is 32 so he isn’t super young, but he is an impressive fighter nonetheless, and will surely be making a push to fight on Dana White’s Contender Series with a big win here. As for Thang, he has fought once in LFA, going 1-0 in the promotion, and he has also fought for ONE Championship. While he has a solid amount of experience, you have to favor Le to win here.
