Here are my quick thoughts on the UFC Singapore Opening Odds:

  • In the main event, we have Max Holloway taking on The Korean Zombie. Holloway is one of the greatest featherweights of all time and he is coming off of a nice win over Arnold Allen, who is one of the top young fighters in the division. As for The Korean Zombie, he hasn’t fought since a brutal TKO loss to Alexander Volkanovski last year. Let’s just say there is a reason why the odds are so inflated in favor of Holloway here. He is the far superior fighter at this point in time, and it’s hard to see The Korean Zombie winning outside of having a puncher’s chance.
  • In the co-main event, we have a rematch between Anthony Smith and Ryan Spann. These two fighters met two years ago and Smith won easily in the first round. Two years later, they fight again and Spann is actually the favorite to get the win. Since their first fight, Smith is 0-2 and Spann is 1-2. While Smith has been looking very mediocre as of late, it’s still a bit bizarre to see him as the underdog here given how easily he ran through Smith just two years ago.
