Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for LFA 162:
- Headlining LFA 162 is an interim LFA women’s strawweight title bout between Rose Conceicao and Elaine Lopes. Conceicao is just 26 years of age and she is already 6-0 in her pro MMA career, including a victory in her last fight for LFA. Half of her wins have come by stoppage, showing that she knows how to finish a fight. As for Lopes, she has a 6-1 record including an 0-1 mark in her only LFA bout. A former pro kickboxer, she actually has a win over Aline Pereira, Alex Pereira’s sister, on her resume. This should be an intriguing fight to watch, but the oddsmakers believe that Conceicao should be a sizeable favorite to get her hand raised.
- Also on the card is a lightweight bout between Jefferson Nascimento and Italo Gomes. Nascimento is a perfect 9-0 with two wins in his last three bouts coming under the LFA banner. As for Gomes, he has a 1-1 record while fighting for LFA. Again, this should be another interesting fight to watch happen, but the oddsmakers favor Nascimento to win, as he is a small favorite here to get his hand raised.
