Here are my quick thoughts on the PFL 2023: Week 4:

  • Headlining PFL 4 is a featherweight bout between Brendan Loughnane and Jesus Pinedo. Loughnane won the featherweight tournament last year and so far, he has looked great again, finishing Marlon Moraes in his debut this season. As for Pinedo, he lost to Gabriel Alves Braga by split decision in his promotional debut this year. Pinedo is a former UFC fighter as well, but Loughnane is obviously much superior. This is clearly Loughnane’s fight to lose, and he should be a big favorite to win this fight as he looks to continue to advance in the 145lbs tournament.
  • Also on the card are the light heavyweights, and one of the most intriguing matches features Josh Silveira against Delan Monte. Silveira submitted Sam Kei in his first fight this season, while Monte lost a decision to Ty Flores. Silveira is one of the best prospects at light heavyweight in the sport right now, and he should be able to win this fight. It is no surprise then to see him as the betting favorite here given the advantages that he has in this fight.
