Here are my initial thoughts on the Opening Odds for Cage Warriors 150:

  • Headlining Cage Warriors 150 is a featherweight bout between Jordan Vucenic and Tiziano Ferranti. Vucenic is the former featherweight champion but he lost his last fight and lost his belt as a result of the defeat. Still, his record is 5-1 in CWFC, so you know he’s a good fighter. As for Ferranti, he’s undefeated so far in his MMA career but his level of competition hasn’t been great and he is very untested. You have to favor Vucenic to win this fight.
  • In co-main event action, welterweights Jamie Burlinson and Jamie Richardson go at it. Burlinson became a top prospect in the weight class while fighting for CWFC and Bellator before losing to Yohan Lainesse in Contender Series. He bounced back with a finish in his return to Cage Warriors, but was knocked out by Rhys McKee in his last fight. While he has some finishing potential, he seems to have some durability issues. He is only 25 and has plenty of time to turn things around. As for Richardson, he is 26 and he has a 7-5 record in CWFC so he has plenty of experience in the promotion. While Richardson is very experienced, Burlinson still has more potential and he should be favored to win.
